Follow Us: On a journey…to find where we belong.
From: Bellingham, WA. To: Hawaii’s “Big Island.”
How long: Two months.

What’s the plan? Finish writing a book. Oh! And rewrite the script of our lives…

Only Rules: Pay homage to Pele. Be together. Book no hotels. Follow our hearts.

First stop: Kalapana coast. Ten days with our Hawaiian host and hostess and new friends, at their sweet O’hana.

Agenda: Unwind. Explore. Breath deep. Let go!

Things to do on the Kalapana coast:

Sunbathing on lava-landscapes.
Walk on the last of the new black sand beach.
Snorkel in tide pools at the edge of the world.
Marvel at water so blue you will think it’s the Maui Jim’s.

Next stop: Find a good Internet connection and research where to stay next through AirBnB!

*Travel Tip: If you are planning to thoroughly explore the Big Island, hotel accommodations are are limited mostly to Kona, and well—so cliché! AirBnB offers everything from van camping to a five-start experience. You can make you Big Island adventure, a true adventure with all the amenities you want, and need!

Where to Next: Hawi, HI (pronounced, Ha-vee) at the North shore of the Big Island. Puakea Ranch, a historical cattle ranch with five cottages and one glamper (glamorous camper), named Wally. Wally had our name all over it!


What to do in Hawi? A lot of hangin’ and chilln,’ mostly. But, we recommend heading out of town past Kohala, to the end of the road where you will find an otherworldly place at the bottom of a vertical decent, called Pololu Valley.
