DIY Moving Target Project - no welding or motors!

Описание к видео DIY Moving Target Project - no welding or motors!

Here is a portable moving target project I made with items available at my local hardware and home improvement stores. The 22' span wire shown is 1/8" wire cable, which you can purchase by the foot. Target motion is provided by a self retracting clothesline. The one I used has 49' of clothesline, of which only about 25' are actually used here. The target stand used was from Midway USA. Wood uprights were too flexible to handle the wire tension, so I used 1" square steel tubing for rigidity. They fit perfectly in the target stand and can be secured via the stand's built-in bolt holes. The rest of the hardware is one turnbuckle, 3 pulleys, a variety of hooks and eyebolts, and wire thimbles and clamps as needed. You will have to attach some sort of guy wire system to each stand to help stabilize it under tension. I used just one 1/8" wire cable per stand. You might ask why I staked the clothesline retractor to the ground instead of attaching it to the stand. Basically, I did that as I thought there would be less chance of it getting shot up on the ground! Have fun and let me know if you have any questions!
