Описание к видео Hardware vs Software | EP.15 Athlete's Edge Podcast

If you’re new to our channel, my name is Tim Madden. I’m the owner of Athlete's Edge.

We've worked with 50 pro athletes and 36 semi-pro athletes.
Athletes like Darcy Wilson (St Kilda), Connor O'Sullivan (Geelong), Amelia Hassett (Kentucky Wildcats), and Illish Ross (Collingwood) just to name a few.

This channel is all about education and providing insights into training, mindset, nutrition, recovery and everything in between.

How I got here...

My playing career was a fairly standard sporting career. I had my fair share of injuries and niggles that plagued me throughout my career. I made some teams and missed some teams. I wasn’t sure how to get better so I just played more sport and prayed that would cure my injuries. Then once I finished school I decided I wanted to work with athletes which led to my journey starting in sports podiatry. I worked in Melbourne for 4 years before moving back to the border. Once I returned I realised there was a big gap in the rehab space for athletes so we opened our first gym and started an athlete academy and worked with athletes that went on to go pro or semi-pro. It was at that time I did my Masters in Exercise Science (Strength & Conditioning). The post the first gym, I was doing my own thing in the back shed but I decided to level up as I couldn’t help the amount of the athletes I wanted to. That’s why we started Athlete’s Edge — to create a central hub where athletes can access everything they need to reach their full potential, all in one place.

Fast forward...

Today: We have now reached max capacity at our gym with 190+ members and have worked with athletes in the AFL, AFLW, NBL, NCAA, BBL, VFL, VNL, and then SANFL.

We are now in the process of getting bigger facility designed to help as many athletes as possible in the border region.
