Chordplay - The Chords Of King's X (Part Two)

Here's the next episode of Chordplay with The Chords Of King's X. I've had numerous requests to feature more King's X music on the channel, and so far I've put together one Chordplay and one Three-For-All episode, so I figured it was finally time to dive a little deeper into some of Ty Tabor's chords and rhythm work.

The ideas in this lesson were pulled from three early King's albums and include moments from the songs 'Prisoner,' 'Over My Head,' 'Black Flag,' 'Far, Far Away,' 'Shot Of Love,' 'The World Around Me,' and many more. We're also taking a brief look at some of those interesting droned chord ideas that Ty seems to frequent in his music, as they're sprinkled throughout a lot of King's X music, along with various other bands and guitarists as well.

King's X is a massively talented group with a dozen albums of great music under their belt, but the lack of popularity and attention surrounding the band has always been had to understand. Needless to say, these guys are complete prog-rock legends that are immensely talented, and they deserve a lot more remembrance and acclaim.
