The Syros is an upcoming B-SUV from Kia that will be positioned above the Sonet in the brand's India range. The model has been unveiled and bookings will open in January 2025. Kia has confirmed that this new model will be called the Syros. It will be the third offering based on the Kia 2.0 program after the Carnival and the EV9. It will be offered in eight colours. Additionally, customers can choose from six variants - HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and HTX+ (O).
Syros Interior & Exterior Styling
On the outside, the Syros sports a boxy design, and, according to Kia, takes inspiration from its elder siblings including the EV9 and the Carnival.
Up front, it gets a new grille, vertically stacked LED DRLs, LED headlamps, and a new bumper.
The side profile boasts flush-fitting door handles, A-pillar-mounted blacked-out ORVMs, and dual-tone alloy wheels.
The posterior is equipped with vertically positioned two-piece LED taillights mounted on either side of the windscreen.
The rear bumper houses the number plate recess.
Inside, it gets dual-tone upholstery.
On the dimensions front, the Syros measure 3,995mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and 1,665mm in height. Notably, the wheelbase will stand at 2,550mm while the bootspace is good for 465 litres.
Syros Engine & Specifications
Under the hood, the new Syros is offered with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel
The 1.0-litre motor generates 118bhp and 172Nm in its current state of tune.
The 1.5-litre diesel produces 114bhp and 250Nm.
Transmission options include six-speed MT , Seven-speed DCT and a six-speed AT.
Syros Features - Comfort & Convenience
The Syros gets class-leading features such as a 360-degree camera, ADAS suite, and a panoramic sunroof.
Elsewhere, it gets a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel and dual 10.25-inch screens.
Also up for offer are ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, and cruise control.
Kia Syros Safety
On the safety front, the Syros gets dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, a seatbelt reminder system, and a speed alert system as standard.
The higher variants of the model could come equipped with side and curtain airbags, ESP, TPMS, HHC, HDC, and a reverse parking camera.

Kia Syros bookings to commence on 3 January, 2025 ahead of launch.
New details of the Kia Syros have merged ahead of its world debut later this week. It will be available in 6 variants and 8 colours.
The unofficial bookings of the new Kia Syros are now open. Interested customers can book the B-SUV at select dealers for Rs. 21,000.
