FISHING/SPEARFISHING at CATALINA ISLAND for a Weekend

Went on a weekend trip around the beginning of August 2021 to Catalina with some buddies! It was our first time camping there and it was so fun. One our first day, we fished on the Cabrillo Mole at Avalon for a few hours before checking into our campsite at Hermit Gulch Campground. We caught a cool barracuda. We also had some time to go for a dive at Casino Point, an Marine Protected Area (MPA) that is just full of so much life. Calico Bass, Garibaldi, and many more everywhere. For our second day, we focused more on spearfishing around the coast and we ended the second day doing a shore dive. A fun weekend with good friends, fresh food, and beautiful waters.
