Property inspections are an important part of being a landlord. Usually, the letting agent does this for me on a periodic basis such as once every 3 months. The primary purpose of an inspection is to assess the overall condition of both the interior and exterior of the property and record any repairs or maintenance that may be required. Plus, it shows the tenant you care and that they should look after your property.

Things to look for on a property inspection includes:

1. Overall Property Condition
2. Cleanliness
3. Maintenance and Repairs
4. Safety Checks
5. Tenant Compliance e.g., restrictions on smoking, pet ownership, or subletting.
6. Damp and Mould
7. Pest Infestations
8. Blocked Drains
