Ellie and Eddy continue nest construction pt 2. November 3, 2024

Well it’s been a couple of days since Ellie and Eddy have spent much time in the nest. They have been here briefly but I haven’t seen much nest building activity until this morning.
The last few days have been a mixture of clouds and rain. I suspect they are using that window of time to feed on the local spawning salmon.
Now this morning the weather is calm and clear and they have spent the most part of the morning bringing in more sticks to the nest. There is another unstable weather front coming in tonight again with high winds and rain. We are certainly seeing a distinctive behaviour pattern emerging from the eagles.
Last year our webcam was not up and running until November 22 when I made my very first post. So it’s fair to say that we are all watching and learning together.
I thought it would be interesting to repost last year’s post and you can compare the differences in the nest.
