A tribute to the brilliance that is Uzma Beg as Amma.

Thanks to her commitment to the role—with those comical facial expressions and, especially, that hilarious body language—Beg, along with her make-up artist and stylist, has created a character to be remembered!

Although Amma's character exists, mainly, to garner laughs; it's her grandmotherly side I adore the most. The way she babies her fully-grown, adult grandchildren is so adorable. Plus, the terms of endearment she uses to address them—especially, 'mitthal,' 'meri dhee' and 'mera gabbru'—paired the way she says every one with such love and affection, always warms my heart. I mean, just listen to them in the VM, doesn't it just melt your heart every time?!

Another sadqafiable, and her most sweetest, quality: she treats her husband's first wife's grandchildren as her own. That, alone, tells you so much about her character.

sigh Amma, you will be missed! :')
