Adenium grafting involves joining a scion (the plant to be propagated) with a rootstock (a mature, healthy Adenium plant). There are two primary types of grafting techniques:

Grafting Techniques:

*V-Cut or Wedge Graft*:

This involves cutting the rootstock stem at a V-shape to accommodate the scion, which is cut into a symmetrical wedge. The scion is then inserted into the V-cut, wrapped firmly with a clear plastic strip, and covered with a clear plastic bag.

*Flat-Cut Graft*:
This technique involves cutting both the rootstock and scion flat, then placing the scion on top of the rootstock. A clear plastic strip is wrapped around the graft junction to secure it, and a clear plastic bag is placed over the scion to maintain humidity.

Post-Grafting Care:

After grafting, the plant should be kept in shade for 2-3 weeks or until the scion shows signs of sprouting. Once the graft is successful, new leaves should appear within 10-30 days. It's essential to:
Maintain high humidity around the graft
Keep the plant in shade initially, then gradually move it to full sunlight
Remove the plastic bag and tape once the graft union is well-formed

Tips for Success:

Use clean and disinfected tools to avoid infection
Ensure maximum surface area contact between the scion and rootstock
Avoid touching freshly cut wounds to prevent contamination
Remove shoots from the rootstock to promote scion growth
