Use conjunctive adverbs to join 2 independent clauses.
Use the correct conjunctive adverb for the situation (to show addition, contrast, effect, etc.)

Note the punctuation that's used to combine the 2 clauses:

Option 1: California is a beautiful state. Moreover, it has a pleasant climate with short, mild winters.
Option 2: California is a beautiful state; moreover, it has a pleasant climate with short, mild winters.

I have a full-time teaching job at a college in California, so I don't currently offer English lessons online. However, I may do that in the future, so check back!
