Spring Creek- "Bear Creek Corner"

Описание к видео Spring Creek- "Bear Creek Corner"

The rambunctious little sister of the Taylor River, Spring Creek tumbles out of the mountains between the Taylor and East Rivers. While mostly unrunnable due to an abundance of wood, too much gradient, and usually a lack of flow, in rare times of high flows across the basin, it can come alive with some decent flows.

I've had my eye on this section for quite a few years, and thanks to multiple scouting trips, I was able to cruise down in pretty good time. Putting in just below the second set of cabins (at old Spring Creek City), the run first consisted of fun class III- through the willows, with an occasional log check dam.

Lower down, it gave way to the granites, and after a poorly-located fence, three good drops come up in quick succession. After this it opens up and mellows for a brief spell, after which I took out. More potential exists but upstream and down stream.

The Taylor was around 1250 @ Almont when I went, and I'm guessing I had around 200 cfs local.
