In this episode, we work through the final at-home identification questions in the Meteorite ID Flowchart. By now, you’ve already tested magnetic attraction, considered density, opened a window, and examined surface and interior features. Some rocks have stopped along the way — and others have continued forward. Its time now to ask the remaining questions, Does it have metal incusions or does it have bubble or holes in it? And then the final question, does it have regmaglypts? Using side by side samples of meteorites and meteorwrongs we try to answer these questions.
Here, we focus only on rocks that have passed every earlier step.
