PALAFOX | Metro Davao Urban Master Plan

The Metro Davao Urban Master Plan 2018-2040 is an effort of the National Government through the Mindanao Development Authority with the support of Congress, to prepare the cities and municipalities within the Davao Region, especially those along the Pan-Philippine highway that are considered as the urban backbone, for metropolization — continuous growth in population, rapid urbanization, economic development, increasing influence in political, economic significance, and international-regional access in the Asia-Pacific and BIMP-EAGA, among others. It aims to give development strategies and recommendations to help address the critical impact of metropolization to the people, to the environment, and to the economy. It also intends to help improve livability, disaster resiliency and adaptiveness, transportation and mobility, and environmental sustainability.
The Metropolitan Davao Urban Master Plan can be used as a guide for the spatial, physical, and institutional integration of the cities around the Davao Gulf and even other areas of the Davao Region.
