Welcome to the Fourth Part of the Halloween Franchise Retrospective. 1988’s HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS saw the Michael Myers saga reborn, after finally cutting all ties with series creator John Carpenter. The end result was a film that looked to start a brand new franchise, rather than just following up on what had happened so far.
