Question 25
"A year 4/5 teacher is not limited to teaching year 5 content in their classroom" is an example of a poorly worded sentence. It is ambiguous in that 'not limited' can mean either:
The teacher should not be teaching year 5 content in their classroom
The teacher should not limit themselves to solely teach year 5 content in their classroom.
This ambiguous nature is captured in the question. The interpretation required to get the correct answer is the latter of the two aforementioned answers. Once it has been established that the duty of care of teacher is not limited solely to what is mentioned in the first clause, it therefore continues to positively reinforce information.
My example of this would be
"A year 4/5 teacher is not limited to teaching year 5 content in their classroom. They would also teach year 4 content to their students."
