It's something most British kids will have to go through. In 1974 Nationwide's David Lomax took a look at the General Certificate of Education exam system and the faceless men and women behind the eight different exam boards.

The film spoke to teenagers who had just completed school exams, and looked at the arduous task of marking all the papers, asking some of those who did this job what they thought of exams themselves.
