On Saturday, September 15, me and my cuddly friend Tambako the Jaguar were on location as a surprise for many little heros battling cancer as the Children's Cancer Association of Central Switzerland and a group of car enthusiasts made up of around 50 volunteer drivers took them for a ride to the rural restaurant "Horben" near Beinwil, AG, Switzerland for an afternoon full of fun and untroubled moments. Each child was able to choose his or her favorite car for the ride from Sursee to Horben and once their destination was reached me and Tambako handed out sweet and cold treats for everyone to enjoy before it was off to the playground to burn some energy on this nice late-summer day. Way too soon, it was time to wave goodbye to the large group of roaring cars and smiling kids as they made their way back to the start of the excursion.

Another highlight of the day was my Dad pulling up in his 1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe, with my grandparents in tow. My grandfather actually used to drive the very same model back in the day!

After a 3 year hiatus, I was so glad to see this event returning and given the fact I have spent half of my childhood in hospitals as well, knowing way too well how it feels to be special needs, I know how important moments like this are for these kids. It's a wonderful thing being able to make them smile through the magic of character performance.

This video features some bonus content at the end from Central Switzerland's Local TV network "Tele 1" who was on scene to shoot a report for their daily evening newscast, catching some further footage of me and Tambako.
