"We are expecting a meeting with one of the top leaders, but more importantly, we are seeking a time and a date for resumption of the talks that were going between the Ministry of Home Affairs and the leaders of Ladakh under the apex body of Leh and Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA). These talks were stalled for many months. The talk needs to be resumed to find a solution to Ladakh's problems. Until a date is given, we will continue our fast," says activist Sonam Wangchuk



The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
