NASA and ISRO just shared the first radar images from their new Earth-watching satellite, NISAR. You can see real places in the United States, including Maine and North Dakota, with detail that regular cameras often miss because radar works through clouds and at night. The mission will keep checking Earth on a regular cycle so scientists and responders can track changes to land, farms, forests, ice, and more. 

NISAR is a joint effort between NASA and ISRO. It will circle the planet in a steady path and revisit the same areas about every 12 days, building a clear timeline of how Earth changes. This steady view will help with things like disaster response and crop monitoring.
