It's been a struggle for the last few years

my brain constantly in a whizz

But despite my self loathing

At times I may have seemed distant or in my head off far away but thats just my everyday anxiety

I found out recently that I have A D H D

and honestly it really does frustrate me

Coz ive always felt different at odds

i always try to be polite as I can be and I do as I say it's written right there on the tin but when it's comes to communication I get easily frustrated

When I talk others don't hear what I'm saying or just don't want to listen

Not long ago I was naive and I've learnt a lot but I know im still far from wise

I've been lucky to have lived a reasonably sheltered life

Still I know how I've been treated recently ain't right

I dont like to tell lies because I feel their weight sit on my soul

without being mean or angry I just say it how it is, it just comes out of my mouth nothing said to cause offense

People see me as honest and kind

does that not mean im genuine

Instead you act as if I commit sin

I'm good at remembering faces

but not so good at names

Im not going anywhere to dish out s**t and play my games

In fact I think youll find thats why I stay well out the way

I cant help Im talkative and that people come join me and stay

And I'm always happy to let others get involved

I dont see that as a reason to treat me badly at all

I don't want someone in my company to feel lonely

Why would I want them to feel the same way as me

I give a smile and say hello it masks up my misery

When they want to say hi back then the conversation flows on easily

I went about my nights out with no hidden agenda just to get away from my pain

And I did that by sitting smoking chatting the night away
