Iceland's most dangerous beach - Reynisfjara

Описание к видео Iceland's most dangerous beach - Reynisfjara

The famous black sand beach at Reynisfjara, Iceland. We visited on a stormy day to witness the power of the ocean at this spectacular location.
This is often called the most dangerous beach in Iceland as it has 'sneaker waves' which come up at random and can drag people into the surf.

The beach has a cave and sea-stacks with beautiful basalt columns and other volcanic rock formations. The sand is perfect black and the fierce winds scoured us with the sand - we were finding black sand in every orifice for days afterwards!

There is a warning light system, which indicates no-go zones on the beach in the current weather conditions. We stayed within the designated amber area, per the days status. I can't imagine what the beach is like on a red warning!
