On this journey I invite you to discover the perfect connection between the bustling city of Oslo and the serenity of an 'uninhabited' island. We will board together on a Ruter ferry, the public transport system of Norway's capital city, exploring the harmony between nature and city life.

From the city centre we will head to an island in the Oslo Fjord, Nakholmen, where tranquillity takes centre stage. It is an officially uninhabited island, but full of charming weekend houses, lovely walks, small hidden beaches, spectacular scenery and views of the centre of Oslo.

And before we get there, on board the ferry, we will explore the comfort and charm of this mode of transport available on Oslo's public transport network. Because these boats are not only a means to reach our destination, they are also a travel experience in themselves. We will enjoy the sea breeze, the panoramic views of the fjord and the warmth of a very comfortable ferry. Enjoy this trip report!
