The GUCR is a iconic British ultramarathon, a 145-mile-long race from Birmingham to London, all along the Grand Union Canal, a 19th century marvel of engineering.

The runners have 45 hours to cover the whole distance. 2018 saw the 24th edition of the race and 98 people lined up at the start in Birmingham.

Out of them, 54 managed to complete the race and get to London within the 45-hour time limit. I was among them and here is a record of my journey. Enjoy!
