Barnett Recruit Blackcat Nikon Crossbow Scope Reticles

My understanding, though Nikon no longer makes crossbow scopes, you can still find them on Ebay. They work great for slower, entry level crossbows. When sighting in a crossbow, you may have to tailor how you sight in based on your arrow weight and velocity. In other words, when you sight in your center crosshairs for 20 yards, your higher yardage reticles may or may not work with your current arrow velocity. One solution is to experiment with heavier or lighter arrow point weights, provided they prove accurate. Recommend you switch to aluminum arrows as carbons suck for crossbow fixed blade accuracy. Another way to sight in for example, is to zero the 25 yard reticle for 25 yards, then shoot the arrow at 20 yards and 30 yards and see where they impact. In my opinion, it is better to hit low at 20 yards, than to hit high at 25 or even 30 yards, based on the deer dropping at the string. After this video, I adjusted the crossbow to hit dead on at 30 yards with the 30 yards reticle and it improved the accuracy at all the other yardages and was only slightly low at 20 yards.
