Welcome to Athens! After exploring the Greek islands, we’re back in the vibrant capital city of Greece. Known for its ancient history, bustling streets, and iconic landmarks, Athens is a city like no other. Although we’ve spent a lot of time here in the past, we hear things are different this time around. Many Greeks have expressed concerns about safety, warning us that parts of Athens are less secure than they used to be. We start our day in Keramikos, an up-and-coming neighborhood with a unique character, before making our way through Athens’ historic streets, passing by ancient ruins, and admiring breathtaking views of the Acropolis. From there, we explore Ermou Street, the city's bustling shopping hub, and eventually end up in our favorite neighborhood, Psiri. Here, we stop by Tapfield, a fantastic craft beer bar, to relax and enjoy the city vibes.
