In this video I take a tour of 16 Km, 19 minutes flight time, with the 6s2p 21700-50G 10'000 mAh Samsung Li-ion battery pack. I used 5.000mah in the flight, which means I could have made this trip twice with the same battery. Like a noob, I forgot to set the crossfire tx module power output to the proper value (usually 2 Watts), so I made all this flight at just 10 mw, which is the setting I keep it when I work on the bench. During the flight I got dangerously low on the LQ, even less then 50%, so I almost failsafed at 5.6Km, but it worked out fine. I managed to save it by setting the TBS shapeshifter antenna to directional (I usually keep it in omni mode) and pointing the antenna straight at the drone. ALWAYS CHECK THE CROSSFIRE AND DJI POWER OUTPUT BEFORE A FLIGHT !!!.
Video footage is from a Gopro Hero 6 with firmware 1.6, settings 4k 4:3 4000x3000 30 fps, wide FOV, protune On, ISO min/max 100/400, Shutter auto, Gopro color, medium Sharpness, Mic Wind. The GoPro video segments were joined with Reelsteady joiner: https://github.com/rubegartor/ReelSte...
and then smoothed with Reelsteady GO ( https://www.reelsteady.com/pages/go-d... ), Smoothness 2 ticks to the left from the center, pan speed all the way to the right The video overlay was made using Dashware. All up weight in this test was 1.622 grams.
Motors: 4x Racerstar AirA 2508 BP 1.200kv long range. They are decent for their price, but definitly undersized for this build. You need 2806.5 or 2810 motors to properly drive 1.600 grams of drone. I'll see what i can do next time.
