Bengali is one of the oldest and richest languages in the world.
This Bangla language is rich in the touch of numerous people including Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, Michael Madhusudan Dutt, Sadak Lalon Shah, Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Sukanta Bhattacharya, Begum Rokeya, Jivananda Das, Jasimuddin.
Bangladesh is a beautiful country, surrounded by the shores of the Bay of Bengal.
From the earliest times on this ground people have spoken of establishing their rights. They have been repeatedly tortured in the exploitation of foreign rule. But they never bowed his head.
The long continuation of realization comes in 1947.
Despite the birth of an independent state after the partition of India, Bengalis remained deprived of their rights.
The first blow comes on the language.
The linguist, Dr Shahidullah said, "If Urdu or Hindi language is adopted instead of Bengal in the courts and universities of Bangladesh, it will be reversed for political independence.
At that time, Dhirendranath Dutt, a member of the House of Representatives, suggested that "Bengali should be included as the language of the People's Council."
But all the arguments of the Bengalis were invalidated.
11 March 1948, the first state language day celebrated across the country.
In the face of the agitated students' movement, the then Chief Minister of East Pakistan, Khwaja Nazimuddin, accepted Bangla as one of the official languages.
But 21 March 1948, Pakistan's Governor-General Mohammad Ali Jinnah announced at the racecourse ground in Dhaka and the curzon hall of the university shortly after, "Urdu will be the official language of Pakistan."
The Pakistanis had decided not to allow the Bengalis to stand upright.
Propagation of the Bengali language was introduced in Arabic.
On 26 January 1952, Khwaja Nazimuddin became the Prime Minister, declaring, "Urdu will be the only language of Pakistan."
On 31 January, the protesting student leaders formed a state-language struggle council and announced a long program.
From February 20, Article 144 was issued.
Students gathered in the university premises on February 21, disobeying dictatorship laws.
On the slogan "Rashtra vasha Bangla Chai," they came down the highway.
The students were shot in the procession at the behest of East Pakistan Chief Minister Nurul Amin.
In support of this movement, Sheikh Mujib and Maulana Bhasani, who were detained in the jail, were fasting for 12 days.
This martyr monument commemorates the memory of Omar Ekushey. Many of the Bengali blood mixed with this minaret are in tears.
When the “Jukta Front” won the Provincial Assembly Elections in 1954, Bengal was recognized as one of the state languages of Pakistan in the People's Assembly held on May 9.
The spirit of the Bengalis, which was raised by the Bengalis with blood on 21 February 1952, has gained a reputation from the international community as it crossed the border of the country.
"February 21" is not just a movement today. A Symbol of Arrogance.
