What's Up Folks,
Here is a video that continues our review of the RIU Jalisco Hotel Resort in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. In a previous video we posted we gave you a summary of what to expect at this resort. Link below:
• What to do at the RIU Jalisco Mexico ...
In this video, we focus more on just the food options. This is an all inclusive resort so we figured you want to know about what you are going to prepay for and eat during the stay. The good news for you is that this resort had amazing food, although generally speaking we had amazing food pretty much at all our Mexican spots. There were 4 different restaurants such as Chinese, Italian, Mexican, a Steak house, a main International mixed food, and a sports bar that had burgers, hot dogs, nachos and fruit 24/7. So lots of options.
The only restaurant that really wasn't good was the Chinese Restaurant. The ingredients are all there, but someone needs to teach them how to make Asian food from Sushi to fried dumping, we ate at the Asian restaurant once only. The food is edible, just not what I would classify as good.
The rest however, was amazing, I especially enjoyed the Italian Restaurant. It just felt very nice to eat there, it felt like a fancy restaurant to be honest. The staff was extra super polite. I really enjoyed the salmon fillet with calamari and muscles. Everything was really clean including the cups.
Steak House is very nice, not included in this video, but has the longest line up, and most misquotes at night. The steak meat quality was surprisingly very good and they BBQ it to what you wanted which is cool. We had other stuff like pork ribs and chicken wings too. Each time we wanted to come back here it was either too late when mosquitos were out, or there was a line up and everyone was too hungry to wait. The other options are so good and little to no line up.
Mexican Food Restaurant was also amazing, lots of local good dishes, tasted great to us. The food as expected tasted what I would think is an authentic Mexican taste. I had real good mussels here.
The International Restaurant is a big general mixed buffet from Eggs, to sausage to pasta, to chicken and seafood - real good stuff here. Croissants, to sliced bread, to fries. Pretty much your general all you can eat buffet. This will have the least line up, not a specialized spot, but they got it all.
Lastly, the sports bar has burgers, hotdogs, fruit, and nacho with melted cheese 24/7. You will need to reheat the refrigerated burgers and hotdogs with a microwave which is a non issue.
So you really will not go hungry here unless you are really picky. My daughter and wife are super picky, and they had no issues. So you really have to be super picky to not eat in my opinion.
If you intend to stay at the RIU Jalisco, then watching this video will give you a realistic view of what to expect. The good, bad and the ugly.
I hope you enjoyed the video.
