As a Sheldon High School senior in Elk Grove, California, Matt Muckey performed the "Carnival of Venice" with the school's symphonic band at the final concert of the school year on May 23, 2002. As a unique twist, Muckey played both the high and the low trumpet solos--simultaneously. Sheldon instructor Jim Mazzaferro conducted the band. The full concert video tape was created by college students from Cosumnes River College and aired on local public access cable TV by Access Sacramento.
