Nadaswaram, nadhaswaram or nathaswaram is a double reed wind instrument. It is a traditional classical instrument originated in Tamil Nadu and also used in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Kerala (India).

Abheri (pronounced abheri) is a raga in Carnatic music (musical scale of South Indian classical music).

Classical music is art music produced or rooted in the traditions of Western music (both liturgical and secular). It encompasses a broad span of time from roughly the 11th century to the present day.

Thiruvizha Jayashankar (born 1940) is an Indian classical musician and a well known Nadaswaram expert in South India. Born in the family of musicians in a small village Thiruvizha, Alleppey, Jayashankar was keen to learn music and drawing in his childhood. He is the son of nadaswara maestro Thiruvizha Raghava Panickar and grandson of Thiruvizha Sanku Panickar.

Valayapatti A. R. Subramaniam is an Indian classical musician and percussionist, considered by many as one of prominent exponents of Thavil, a traditional percussion instrument from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
