It took me this long to get around to these games, because the Master difficulty is unreasonably designed. The stealth mechanic of Hitman is based on disguises and in most of the missions of Hitman 2016, Master difficulty removes nearly every disguise pickup, key and useful item in a level and makes it so that NPCs carry them instead. -Meaning that on the hardest mode, the player is expected to rely on the crutch that is non-lethal takedowns made possible by the accessible melee system introduced in Absolution. You are supposed to knock out as many characters as you need in order to get the tools that you need and there is no penalty on how many you incapacitate. In fact, you get points for doing so.
So, in order to make this playthrough feasible, I have enabled the Master Mode Revisited mod https://www.nexusmods.com/hitman3/mod... for most of the missions in Hitman 2016. Prologue, the first mission and sixth mission do not benefit from the mod. In Hitman 2 and Hitman III, the mod is unnecessary because Master mode does not mess with the items so I will uninstall the mod then.
I will be using the one allowed save slot for some of the missions. There are some risky strategies, and having to re-do a tedious and long first part is not interesting. I will also be using the default loadout for all missions, meaning the fiber wire, silenced .45 and distraction coins. For convenience, I'll fast forward very long waiting times.
P.S I spliced the freeform training with the guided training's intro, because I refuse to engage with training that forces me to do things.
