英國政府近日決定將一些關於leasehold物業政策更改，令到它們比較跟freehold更加接近。

事實上，leasehold的存在是歷史原因，所以經過一段那麼長的時間，現在有變化，我們也覺得是社會進步。

新政策包括leaseholder可以甚麼時候買斷永久業權，延長leasehold年份費用及新屋用leasehold型式出售等等問題都會對業主有龐大影響。

Recently, the House of Lords have passed the Leasehold Reform Bill, which means there will be significant changes coming up.

Leasehold tenures originate from over 100 years ago. However, after a period of time, things have changes and this reform bill is a sign of improvement for those who hold a leasehold property.

The new bill includes when the leaseholder can buy the freehold, how much it will cost to extend a lease and also how developers of new houses will be affected too.
