On Sunday, February 8, 2026 just before 1 p.m., Riverside police Department and Riverside Fire
Department responded to a traffic collision in the 8600 block of California Avenue in Riverside.
When units arrived, they found a car into a wall with major damage and one occupant. The
driver was transported to a local area hospital suffering from serious injuries but was stable
and expected to survive. Preliminary investigation indicates that the driver was traveling
eastbound at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control, struck a block wall, and collided
with a parked vehicle. The driver was at least partially ejected during the crash. It is unclear
if drugs or alcohol were a factor, the crash is under investigation.
