Warner Robins quarterback Jalen Addie accounted for six touchdowns as the Demons ended a three-year championship game losing streak by routing Cartersville 62-28 for the school’s fifth state title. The Demons fell behind 14-7 but then scored 35 consecutive points led by Addie who passed for 259 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 107 yards and another three scores. Addie was one of three Demons to top 100 yards, as the team rushed for 342 yards. Jahlen Rutherford ran 21 times for 143 yards one TD, and Malcom Brown rushed 13 times for 102 yards and a TD. Daveon Walker caught six passes for 91 yards and one touchdown. Cartersville got off to a great start when Sam Phillips returned the opening kickoff for a 94-yard touchdown. The Purple Hurricanes were led by quarterback Carlos Del Rio-Wilson, who completed 15 of 26 passes for 225 yards and two TD’s, but was intercepted twice and sacked twice. Devonte Ross and Phillips each had four receptions.
