Valeria Esposito performing "Vedrai carino" from Mozart's Don Giovanni (K. 527) during the third preliminary round of the 1987 Cardiff Singer Of The World competition.
The Italian soprano from Naples took the Main Prize that year.
She has since performed at some of the most renowned opera and concert houses around the world, including Staatsoper Wien, Scala Milano, Carnegie Hall, Baltimore Opera, Toulouse Capitole, and many more, with her repertoire ranging from Maria Stuart to Fledermaus. She sings in Italian, German, French, Russian, Spanish and English.
