Fixing our WJ's Ignition Switch - Part 2: Solving the Gremlins - Switch Repair and Replacement

Описание к видео Fixing our WJ's Ignition Switch - Part 2: Solving the Gremlins - Switch Repair and Replacement

On our last video we did extensive troubleshooting in a prior mouse-infested WJ to find out that the Ignition switch was the cause of several electrical gremlins and failing circuits.

That same evening we pulled the switch and took it apart, seeing if we coulid repair it. In the end, we did, so we'll take you along for the ride. Eventually the new Mopar switch arrvied and we replaced it to be safe, but will show you both removal, a field-type repair, as well as eventual replacement of the WJ ignition swtich.

PARTS AND TOOLS LINKS:

Note: any parts links to Amazon will be using our Amazon affiliates links, thus Vortex Garage may get a small commission. As always I don't do product placements or sell things for companies. What I link to is what I used, or what I'd buy as a stand-in if the item I have isn't available anymore.

Also note that I often link to cheaper tool options - if you're looking for name brand tools you'll know where to find them :) (Wera makes some really nice smaller security torx bits for example)
