So follow me on this one, what if I were to tell you back in 2010 there was a movie that was directed by James gunn, starred rayn wilson from the office as a brutal as hell superhero and had kevin bacon as the villain, if these interested you then I highly recommend you check out the movie SUPER from 2010, a brutal, bloody, and mature take on superhero movies that doesn’t follow any of the conventional aspects of those type of films, it’s unapologetically james gunn with twisted VFX work, a variety of music choices and an ending that honest to god I did NOT see coming, unfortunately at the time it didn’t get the praise it deserved due to being overshadowed by kickass the very same year, but it’s crazy how the same guy that wrote and directed THIS would end up directing stuff like guardians of the galaxy and the suicide squad.

It tells the story of Frank Darbo, a short-order cook who becomes a superhero without having any superhuman ability, calling himself the "Crimson Bolt". He sets out to rescue his wife Sarah from the hands of a drug dealer.
