Marsh worked to build Team Elite under SwimMAC Carolina since 2007.
Prior to founding Team Elite, he was the men's and women's swimming coach at Auburn University.
After becoming Auburn's head coach in 1990, Marsh led the men's team to seven NCAA national championships and the women's team to five national championships).
He ended his coaching career at Auburn at the end of the 2007 season and then became the Head Elite Coach and CEO of the United States Olympic Committee Center of Excellence at SwimMAC Carolina.
From 2017 to 2019, he was the Head Swim Coach at the University of California, San Diego, an NCAA Division II program, for two seasons.

An internationally known coach, he has coached 49 Olympians from 19 different countries.
In December 2016, Marsh was appointed "Professional Adviser" to the Israel Swimming Federation, with the goal of preparing the country's swimmers for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

David was at Tenerife Top Training in January and March 2021 with the Israeli Olympic Selection and his Team Elite in preparation for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
During these swim training camps, we talked about his life, his degree in Business Administration and his work at Auburn University.
We were able to get interesting insights into his Team Elite and about his work as a "professional adviser" to the Israel Swimming Association and the preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
