Talk to your doctor about how to use this device and if it's right for you. My advice is for healthy people without pre-existing diseases. I am a Registered Respiratory Therapist and NOT a doctor.
IMPORTANT: If you do not see a regular waveform, or if your pulse rate does not match the pulse rate shown on the oximeter, your oxygen saturation reading is NOT accurate. The machine must be able to pick up your pulse or the number will not be accurate.

How to use:

1) Remove nail polish.

2) Warm-up your hands by rubbing them together.

3) Place your finger in the pulse oximeter and make sure your fingernail is under the red LED light.

4) Rest your finger on the bed, table, or your leg. Keep your hands still.

5) Once you see a regular waveform pattern or regular heart rate indications, and the PR (pulse rate) matches your actual pulse, then you may read your SPO2 (oxygen) level number. Report this number, along with your heart rate (PR), to your doctor.
