Pakistan’s 'nuclear threat' Field Marshal Asim Munir, in a bizarre remark, resorted to self-boasting, saying God has made him the protector adding that he does not desire any position or post as speculation is rife that he may be appointed as Pakistan’s President.

Columnist Suhail Warraich in an article published in the Jang media group, claimed that Pakistan Army Chief and Field Marshal Asim Munir, during a recent meeting in Brussels, Belgium, told him that he had no ambitions in the political landscape of his country and only considers himself a servant of the state.

“God has made me the protector of the country. I do not desire any position other than that. I am a soldier, and my greatest desire is martydom,” Field Marshal Asim Munir said in an interview in Brussels.

Asim Munir is the same Field Marshal who threatened India with a nuclear strike in an event in the United States during his latest visit to the nation.

Speaking from the soil of the United States, Asim Munir said, “We are a nuclear nation. If we think we are going down, we’ll take half the world down with us.”

In another threat, Pakistan warned India that it would wait for it to construct a dam on the Indus River, and once it’s made, they will bombard it.

India reacted to Pakistan’s recent threats, saying that nobody gets intimidated by Islamabad’s warnings and dared the nation, stating that any misadventure will have painful consequences as demonstrated recently during Operation Sindoor.

Reacting to Pakistan’s Field Marshal’s latest remark that God has made him a protector, a user on X took a jibe at Asim Munir, saying, “Bunker mein kyu chhupa tha.” (Why did he hide in the bunker?).
