A later version of the "Voigt" moving coil pickup from 1940, The "SHEFI" from Brookes & Bohm of Victoria Street, London produced in 1947, a simplified design with a Bakelite (Urea Formaldehyde) construction housing the Voigt moving coil. A clever design, being played here with what look like the original rubber suspension tubes which are still pliable some 80 years on. This pickup has a tiny output of 5 Ohms D.C which is being played through an HMV 1940's Step-up-transformer.
