Highlights from our Social Media Week London event where we reveal our findings from a piece of research conducted by IG Digital where 65 companies were interviewed about their use of digital channels to engage with customers.


Social media is placing new pressures on managing relationships with customers across their lifetime with you. Organisational divisions between marketing, customer service, operations, finance and technology are become exposed as customers find and demand new ways to interact.

In this session co-hosted by IG Digital and Zoodikers we unveil the results of an extensive research project into how public and private sector organisations are rising to the challenge. In-depth interviews conducted this summer with companies large and small will reveal the good, the bad, and what you might do to set your organisation on a path to great digital customer engagement. We will reveal how organisations are evolving to digitally transform the customer experience, and where they see the challenges ahead.

Presenters Matt Ballantine (IG Digital, formerly Microsoft, Imagination, Reuters and BBC Worldwide) and Katie King (Zoodikers, and who has advised NHS Trusts, Universities, brands including o2, Kingfisher, BT, Orange, plus hundreds of start ups and SMEs) explore the findings of the research, and give practical steps that you can adopt to thrive in a multichannel customer world.
