To update KYC (Know Your Customer) details for a Provident Fund (PF) account via the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) portal, follow these steps:

Step-by-Step Guide to Update PF KYC:

1. Login to EPFO Portal:

Visit the EPFO Unified Member Portal: https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.go....

Enter your UAN (Universal Account Number), password, and CAPTCHA.

Click on Sign In.


2. Access the KYC Update Section:

Once logged in, go to the 'Manage' tab.

Select 'KYC' from the drop-down menu.


3. Add/Update KYC Details:

You will see a list of KYC details that can be updated, such as Aadhaar, PAN, Bank Account, Passport, Driving License, etc.

To update any of these details, fill in the required information (e.g., bank account number, IFSC code for the bank account).

Upload scanned copies of the documents as needed.


4. Save KYC Information:

After filling in the details, click on 'Save'.

Your KYC request will be submitted for approval by your employer.


5. Employer Approval:

The updated KYC details will need to be approved by your employer.

Once the employer approves the details, it will be sent to EPFO for verification.


6. KYC Verification:

EPFO will verify the details and once they are verified, the status will show as Verified by EPFO.

You can check the status of your KYC request under the KYC Pending for Approval section on the KYC page.


7. Check Status of KYC Update:

You can view the KYC approval status by logging in again to the EPFO portal.

Under the KYC section, the status will be shown next to each document (e.g., Approved by Employer, Verified by EPFO).


Once the KYC details are updated, you will be able to use those details for future PF-related transactions, including withdrawals and transfers.
