[AZIRAPHALE GIGGLES]

[AZIRAPHALE]

[MAGGIE]

[AZIRAPHALE RUSHES OUTSIDE]

[AZIRAPHALE LOOKS UP]

[AZIRAPHALE TAKES A DEEP BREATH AND CLOSES HIS EYES. HIS WINGS APPEAR. HE’S STARTLED. HE BEGINS TO RUN. HIS WINGS FLAP AND HE BEGINS TO FLY. HE SOARS THROUGH THE AIR UNTIL HE MEETS CROWLEY AT THE NEBULA]

[AZIRAPHALE SEES THE NEBULA, SHOCKED. HE SEES HIS GOWN AND HIS WINGS AGAIN]

[AZIRAPHALE]

What am I?

[CROWLEY]

You’re an angel. Don’t just stand there! Come and have a look. This beauty is called the Nebula. I created it thousands of years ago.

[AZIRAPHALE]

You?! Demons don’t create, they destroy!

[CROWLEY]

Ah well that’s tricky. I used to be like you; an angel. I was one of their leaders, but, things happened and…yep. Say Crowley for 6,000 years and it becomes my name.

[AZIRAPHALE]

Ah…I see- well- I just find it all very hard to believe, I mean….what happened to you?

[CROWLEY]

What happens to any angel who breaks the rules?

[AZIRAPHALE]

Noted. And you in particular.

[CROWLEY]

I fell. I asked questions. There was a war. The Great War. You were there of course but you- anyway. So many angels….lost that day. You’re the only good one left, and you are so lucky to be alive. We gotta go!
