Redeeming the earth requires proximity to the problem. In Jesus' life we see him being up close and personal with the lowly. We see him eating with tax collectors, becoming friends with sinners, sitting with the women at the well; Jesus is a personal God. We have to learn to sit with the world in its brokenness and to allow ourselves to weep over the brokenness. To allow the brokenness to move us to strategy and from strategy to action.
