Tejeda is a neighborhood in the south part of the city which is technically in the municipality of Corregidora. Tejeda is a pretty cool place because it's much more "traditional Mexico" than most of Querétaro, it's much cheaper than most of the city, but it's still very safe.

There are certainly parts of Queretaro, Mexico that you wouldn't want to visit do safety concerns but this isn't one of them.
