This video is about rebounds and starts with some review about motions that is then applied to the single paradiddle and its Inversions, and then how it relates to playing the first 13 exercises in Stone's Stick Control Book. The student is then shown how the motion for multiple rebounds relates to open and closed rolls and how that motion can be extended or modified to play 3 and 4 stroke Drag Paradiddles. Finally I share a little move with rebounds that Richard Wilson taught me that allows you to play fast jazz cymbal time without flattening out the rhythm to even 8th notes.
