In this video we will describe how FortiGate SSL VPN works.
We will talk about deployment modes (web and tunnel) then we also explain the 2 tunneling modes (full and split), then we will complete the video with a step by step deployment on a FortiGate v7.4.7

FortiGate SSL VPN is a secure remote access solution that allows individual users to connect to a private network over the internet. It creates an encrypted tunnel using the SSL/TLS protocol to secure communication, providing access to internal resources like applications and files from any device with a web browser or a client like FortiClient.
Key features and modes
Two main modes:
Web mode: Provides clientless access through a web portal for services like HTTP/HTTPS, Telnet, and SSH, all proxied over HTTPS.
Tunnel mode: Uses the FortiClient to create a full or split tunnel. A full tunnel routes all user traffic through the VPN, while a split tunnel only routes traffic destined for the private network.
Remote access: Enables remote and hybrid workers to access internal resources as if they were physically in the office.
Encrypted connection: Secures all traffic between the user and the FortiGate device using SSL/TLS protocols, ensuring safe and private communication.
Authentication: Supports various authentication methods, including local user accounts, Active Directory integration, and multi-factor authentication with FortiToken.
Flexibility: Can be configured to provide access to specific resources based on user groups and firewall policies.
Dynamic protocol handling: Automatically uses the most updated and secure SSL/TLS protocol installed on the user's browser.
