Fintech Regulations Coming Soon: RBI Deputy Governor Rabi Sankar | Startup Conclave

The Fintech entities don’t need to obtain banking licences for activities similar to banks such as deposits and loans, but they need to be regulated similarly for similar activities, says RBI Director Rabi Sankar. Speaking at Moneycontrol Start Up Conclave, the RBI Director said that similar activities will also provide a level playing field. He said regulations also ensures a healthy growth of the industry. On Rupee, Sankar said that the efforts are being made to use Rupee in all global transactions as much as possible.
